Happiest person in the world??

I get annoyed when I see the headline "The Richest people on Earth" in newspapers. I wonder does it really make sense to have this kind of news which is not of any use to the reader. I remember Bill Gates himself has said in one of his interviews that he doesn't feel privileged for being the richest. As Narayana Murthy puts it, beyond a certain level of comfort money doesn't have any value. I totally agree with him. I would rather suggest Forbes to take up a survey on the "Happiest people in the world" and publish the parameters used to assess the same. Perhaps that helps people to live a better life.

Since money can't buy happiness I am sure a not so wealthy person will occupy the top slot. You shouldn't be astonished if that person is from Bhutan, the poorest country in the world in terms of GDP. It is interesting to note that the prime minister of Bhutan has emphasized on improving the GDH (Gross Domestic Happiness) rather than the GDP.

What say ye?
